New Zealand Greenshell™ mussels (or Green lipped mussels as they are also known) are cultivated on long-line mussel farms in the beautiful pristine waters of the South Island. Isolation and strong tidal currents in these areas make for ideal, grit free growing conditions.

They have a unique shell that is a distinctive iridescent jade colour and adds extraordinary visual appeal to a plate. Encased within the shell is a succulent plump meat that has a sweet tender taste.

With its culinary versatility, it is fast becoming the worlds most sought after shellfish. It can be can be baked, barbequed, fried, steamed, marinated or smoked.

New Zealand GreenshellTM mussels have extensive nutritional benefits – a superfood of the sea. High in protein and omega-3 fatty acids whilst low in fat and calories. They are a rich source of selenium, iron, vitamin B12 and iodine.
