New Zealand Pacific Oysters are predominantly grown on sticks, trays and netting bags on intertidal farms, with most farms built in shallow, sheltered waters between the marks of high and low tide to optimise growing conditions. There are some Pacific Oysters grown in deeper waters, in trays beneath the surface, or on longlines supported by plastic floats – similar to the way New Zealand GreenshellTM Mussels are grown.
Enclosed within a deeply cupped shell is a generous serving of succulent plump meat. Pacific Oysters thrive in New Zealand’s pure and nutrient filled waters, providing a taste unique to New Zealand and the individual areas in which they are cultivated, and the purity to be consumed in their natural, raw state. Sumptuously textured, these delicacies are the height of indulgence.
New Zealand Pacific Oysters are rich in protein with an array of vitamins and minerals, offering an abundance of nutritional benefits.
